Social and Political Attitudes/Public Opinion Research

This course aims to provide students both with the conceptual tools and the methodological skills required for conducting research in the field of public opinion. The logic of theoretically-guided empirical research in social sciences will be exemplified through the analysis of specific public opinion issues. Each student attending classes is expected to conduct a single case study or a comparative analysis based on WVS (World Values Survey) or ESS (European Social Survey) datasets.
